Dr. Hussein Elrawy

DDS, Fellow ABOI, ICOI, AIID

Dr. Hussein Elrawy attended Al-Azhar University of Dental Medicine and received a degree in Dental Medicine and Oral Surgery in 1999. After graduation, Dr. Elrawy pursued and completed his General Practice Residency in 2006 and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship in 2007 at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Elrawy has a Master’s Degree in Implant Dentistry, a Master’s in Science, and a Master’s in Business Administration.

Since the completion of his postgraduate studies, Dr. Elrawy regularly attends continuing education conferences and is affiliated with several dental professional organizations, which include having a fellowship status by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry as well as a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and certification by the AIID and by the ICOI. Currently, Dr. Elrawy is the Chairman of the Cleveland Dental Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, and owns

Currently, Dr. Elrawy is the Chairman of the Cleveland Dental Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, and owns a private practice in North Eastern Central Ohio known as Angel Dental Care. He directs and provides services including implants and advanced surgery. He is also an instructor for the Implant Direct Dental Implants company where he instructs proper implant dentistry techniques.

Dr. Richard Miron

BMSC, MSc, PhD, DDS

Dr. Miron is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Periodontology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his undergraduate degree in Medical Science and a Master’s in Cell Biology at the University of Western Ontario in Canada, a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Bern, Switzerland and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Laval, Canada.

The Miron research group focuses on tissue regeneration of both soft and hard tissues found in the intra-oral cavity. Tissue engineering strategies include the regeneration of bone, periodontal ligament, gingiva and cementum by means of bioactive growth factors, bone grafting materials, soft tissue regenerative agents, platelet concentrates, novel barrier membranes and dental implants. Dr. Miron lectures nationally and internationally on Plasma Rich Fibrin usage in implant dentistry.

Dr. Hisham Barakat

DDS, MAGD, Dip. ABOI, D ICOI

Dr. Barakat maintains private practices in Vienna, Fairfax, Tysons Corner and Arlington, VA. He is Past President of the AAID Southern District. He is a part-time faculty member at VCU School of Dentistry and faculty club member at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, AZ. He has lectured Nationally at the VAGD Master Track Program, Reston, VA, AAID Southern district meeting and local Study clubs as well as Internationally at the AACD (Seattle), World congress of Oral Implantology (Seoul, South Korea), The Alexandria International Congress (Alexandria, Egypt) and the ICOI World Congress in Berlin 2015.

Dr. Rami Jandali

DDS, Dip. ABOP

Dr. Jandali attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he received his degree in Dentistry in 1995. He then pursued advanced specialized training in prosthodontics at the University at Buffalo and fellowship in maxillofacial prosthetics at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Dr. Jandali has been a staff prosthodontist at the Detroit VA Medical Center (DVAMC) since 1998. He is the program director of the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics at the DVAMC, an ADA-accredited program he founded in 2002. His other academic affiliations include an adjunct faculty position at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor School of Dentistry and a staff position at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He maintains a private practice in Farmington Hill emphasizing implant, cosmetic, and reconstructive dentistry.

Dr. Jandali is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics. He has given numerous lectures and courses nationally and internationally on the topics of prosthodontics and implants.

Aside from his clinical activities, he is the co-founder of Global Implant Solutions, LLC, and was an integral part of the design and implementation team the lead to the realization and 510K market clearance of the OsseoLink® Dental Implant System.

Dr. Kenneth M. Van Stralen

BS, DDS

Kenneth M. Van Stralen, BS, DDS, is a 1984 graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry. Dr. Van Stralen.  He has participated in over a thousand hours of continuing education including training at the following institutions:

Dr. Van Stralen has been in sole private practice since 1984.  Beginning in 1996, he has maintained a private practice in Alexandria, Virginia, focused on full-mouth rehabilitation with a special emphasis on dental implants, soft and hard tissue reconstructive surgery to replace missing teeth and conservative treatment for TMD.

Dr. Van Stralen has lectured internationally on his use of a dynamic imaging guided surgery system which relays precise CT images of the position of instrumentation within bone volume during surgery to a monitor in the operatory in real time as well as providing guiding prompts to facilitate ideal implant placement. In addition, Dr. Van Stralen’s newest interest is participation in a study that examines the use of a novel synthetic bone graft material to gain rapid bone regeneration.

Dr. Van Stralen also has spoken on Microscopically Enhanced Dentistry, the use of platelet concentrates in regenerative procedures (PRP vs PRF vs PRGF), the benefits of CBCT in dentistry and Digital Smile Design.

Dr. Mark Ludlow

DMD

Dr. Mark Ludlow gained his DMD in dentistry at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He is currently an assistant professor and Director of the Implant Prosthodontics Division at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Ludlow has lectured in various subjects at both Universities and private clinics.

Dr. Xavi Oliva

DDS

Dr. Oliva is a graduate of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain and the co-founder of the CeraRoot zirconia implant system. He is a noted lecturer and travels all over the world, speaking to dental professionals about the benefits of CeraRoot ceramic zirconia dental implants. He has been an invited speaker at New York University (Prosthodontics Department), Boston University (Maxillofacial Department), UCLA, and Loma Linda. In addition, he has spoken at the American Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. Oliva has published several articles, as author or co-author, in top international dental journals. He is a member of the IAOMT, the Leading Dental Centers of the World, and the COEC – Catalan College of Dentists.

Dr. Mustafa Galal Khallaf

DDS

Consultant & Lecturer of OMFS faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine Al-Azhar University, Cairo

Dr. Khallaf graduated in 2006 from Al-Azhar University and completed three years of residency in OMFS. In 2012, he obtained an MSC in Dental Implantology and the following year he attended Nottingham University Hospital (Queens Medical Center) in the UK to finish his Ph.D. and clinical fellowship. His interests lie mainly in Dental Implantology, minor surgeries, and TMJ, along with some clinical research. Dr. Khallaf possesses many qualifications, including total quality management for health care, infection control, and excellent communication skills. Aside from clinical work, he is a member of the International Association Of Dental Implantology in the UK and the Egyptian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Mohamed Othman

 DDS

Dr. Mohamed Othman is the Director of Cleveland Dental Institute. He did a Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry and Residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. His interests are in general dentistry, restorative dentistry, and implant dentistry. Besides English, Dr. Othman also speaks Arabic. In his free time, he likes to play soccer, go scuba diving, and travel.

Dr. Ali Syed

BDS, MS, MHA

Dr. Syed is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial radiologist. Currently, he is assistant professor and director of radiology at the School of Dental Medicine, Case Western Reserve University. He completed Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from UNC School of Dentistry and earned both a Master’s and certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

Prior to that, he completed advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ. He graduated from A.E.C.S Maaruthi Dental College in India. Dr. Syed is an expert in 3D imaging related to Oral and Maxillofacial regions. His current research interest includes anatomical variations in Oral and Maxillofacial regions and use of technology in radiology training and education.

Dr. Ketan Parekh

DDS, Dip. NDBA

Dr. Parekh was raised in Pittsburg, Kansas and attended Pittsburg State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Tennessee in 2003, graduating at the top of his class.

During his training, Dr. Parekh had the privilege of treating advanced surgical cases that included maxillofacial pathology, dentofacial deformities, and facial trauma. Dr. Parekh has spent a considerable amount of time in anesthesiology, general surgery, trauma surgery, surgical intensive care, and internal medicine. He has completed 1 year of advance specialty anesthesia training and 4 years of advanced specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at MetroHealth Medical Center and The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Currently, Dr. Parekh is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Rockwall Dental Society. Dr. Parekh is a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Lawrence P. Rossoff

DDS, FICD, FACD

Dr. Rossoff graduated from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry in 1975.  He is a 4th generation Dentist to come from Minnesota.  After practicing in the Twin Cities for 4 years, he moved to Vancouver, BC Canada, where he was in General Practice until April, 2003.

From 2003 to 2012 he was Associate Professor in the Faculties of Dentistry and Medicine at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

From 2012 to 2016 he served as Clinical Director for the North American Dental Group – responsible for Quality Assurance, Risk Management, and Professional Development.

Dr. Rossoff is currently Vice President/Director of Education for the Cleveland Dental Institute.

He has published in the Journal of Dental Education on the topics of  ”Teaching Ethics in a Dental School Curriculum”; “PACS (Professionalism and Community Service) in the First Year Curriculum”; in the Journal of the Canadian Dental Association on the subject of “Capitation, the Patient and Profession at Risk”.

He authored “A User’s Guide To Ethical Reasoning in Dentistry.”

He has lectured nationally and internationally on the subjects of Practice Management, The Value in Fee – For – Service Dentistry and Ethics.

His professional accomplishments include:

  • President of the Minnesota and British Columbia Chapters of Alpha Omega;
  • President of the Vancouver Dental Society;
  • Vice President of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC (Regulatory and Member Service organizations)
  • Deputy Registrar for the College of Dental Surgeons of BC (Chief Investigative Officer)
  • Member of the Board of Trustees Canadian Dental Association
  • Recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the College of Dental Surgeons of BC
  • Recipient of the William Wood Memorial Award as University of British Columbia Professor of the Year – 2012.
  • He is a Fellow in both the International and American College of Dentists.

Dr. Rossoff has 4 children, one grandson, loves his golf, horseback riding, and his Minnesota Twins.

Dr. Ron Zokol

DDS

Dr. Zokol is proud to acknowledge his 20 years of practice partnership with his father, a certified specialist in prosthodontics. Prior to his involvement with implant dentistry, he became recognized for his restorative skills with direct and indirect gold restorations, resulting in him being awarded “Clinician of the Year” by the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators award in 1997.

Dr. Zokol is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He holds Fellowships in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, and the Academy of Dentistry International. He has over 25 years of experience in implant dentistry and has spent more than 10 years as a surgical instructor for the Misch International Implant Institute.

Over the last 30 years, Dr. Zokol has been appointed to many posts in numerous dental associations, including the presidency of the Vancouver and District Dental Society, Chair of the General Examination Committee, and Chief Examiner for the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia.

Dr. Zokol has lectured internationally for many years in the field of Prosthodontics and Implant Surgery and is presently the director of the Pacific Implant Institute located in Vancouver, Canada, which is a learning center for his fellow dentists.

Dr. Zokol lives in Vancouver with his wife, Marie and their three sons.

Dr. Rulla Aswad

DDS, MS

Dr. Rulla Aswad is a Board Certified Periodontist. She attended the University of Damascus Syria where she graduated Dental School with high honors in 2000. She continued her education and specialized in Periodontics by completing a 3-year residency program at Temple University, Kornberg School of Dentistry where she also earned a Master’s Degree in Oral Biology (MS).

After completing residency, Dr. Aswad practiced part-time in private practice. She was also a part-time faculty member at Temple University, Kornberg School of Dentistry, as a clinical Periodontist. Dr. Aswad earned her Board Certification from the American Board of Periodontology in 2009 and became a Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantology in 2008.

Dr. Aswad’s scope of practice includes surgical and nonsurgical periodontal therapy,

bone regenerative techniques, sinus floor elevation grafting procedures, periodontal plastic surgery techniques, oral pathology, dental implants surgery.
